A SUCCESSFUL 2013 'OPEN DAY'  !

At each year's Rugeley Power Station Open Day we are asked to assist the main club with running a continuous service of trains for visitors, whilst at the same time we try to promote our society's purpose and achievements. This year the open day was held on Saturday 20 July, 2013, and with good weather increasing passenger numbers, we ran a non-stop intensive service of heavy 6 coach trains, many double headed, and some with diesel banking. We operated to our maximum capacity for most of the day, resulting in the event being enjoyed by train passengers and visitors to our track.     Our drivers, guards, station staff and all supporting members with us on the day deserve a 'well done' !
